Once you have that figure you must next allocate some of that funding to marketing if you’re really trying to grow. Some businesses do well by word of mouth but the majority have to take in to account their competition is here for the long haul.
Coke is a household name as is Pepsi but do you think Coke will let Pepsi advertise more in its home market of Atlanta? If it boils down to market share the answer is absolutely not. They’re past the stage of taking the first step in faith of marketing and advertising their business but what about you?
The goal of advertising/Marketing is to help you be the director of the band not the Saxophonist or trumpeter. One commercial can cover a lot more ground than one person. By saying this I mean you can’t wear every hat in your business, you’ve got to delegate some responsibility.
